Expression of Interest
ISLAND ARKS SYMPOSIUM VII

Monday 5th - Friday 9 September 2022

ARC Vic is offering the opportunity for two members to attend the ISLAND ARKS SYMPOSIUM VII. This event brings together scientists, researchers, conservationists, environmentalists, and experts in their field to present a symposium like no other and be inspired by the latest advances in island conservation.

The Island Arks Symposium VII is a well-recognised event around Australia, New Zealand and other parts of the Pacific Ocean and is expected to attract approximately 120 delegates.


Under this Expression of Interest, ARC Vic will provide:

Full cost of registration is valued at $350.00 per delegate and includes a welcome reception & dinner, daily conference catering, keynote speakers, symposium sessions, tickets to the world-famous penguin parade, night walks of the Koala Conservation and Eastern Barred Bandicoots and dinner at Bang Bang Restaurant.


Please note: All other associated costs will need to be covered by the successful applicant directly.

Eligibility of applicants:

The applicants must be current financial members of the ARC Vic and can fund costs not met by the ARC Vic including any, accommodation requirements and incidental costs.


Selection Process:

The applicants must undertake the following selection process.

  1. Prepare a written application, which addresses the following criteria contained to approximately 100 words for each.

  • Briefly describe why you feel you should attend this event?

  • Given this opportunity, what experience or skills do you intend to gain?

  • How will you as a member assist in promoting the benefits of being a member of ARC Vic and the opportunities for professional development and networking?

  1. If successful write a short piece for our ACRVic newsletter about your experience.

Timeline
*EXTENDED* Sunday 21st August - Closing date for written applications.

Monday 22nd August - Panel to review and notify the successful applicants

Wednesday 24th August - Announcement of the successful applicants
