The Association of Rangers and Conservationists Victoria ( ARCV) is excited to invite you , ARCV Members and non-members, to a hiking and camping trip at the beautiful Cathedral Ranges State Park on May 11th (Saturday) and 12th (Sunday). Please note that Sunday is Mother's Day; feel free to join us just for Saturday if that works better for you!
Here are the details:
- Dates: May 11th (Saturday) and 12th (Sunday)
- Location: Cathedral Ranges State Park
- Camping Spot: Cooks Mill Campground
- Accommodations: We have 2 campsites booked to host up to 12 people.
Hiking Options:
- Friends Nature Trail: For those looking for a gentle walk, this Grade 2 trail is perfect and takes less than an hour. It starts right from Cooks Mill.
- Jawbone Track to South Jawbone Peak: For a more challenging hike, this Grade 3-4 trail takes about 2 hours and 40 minutes and offers stunning views. It starts from Jawbone Carpark, just a 10-minute drive from Cooks Mill.
- Southern Circuit: Designed for the fit and adventurous, this 5-hour, Grade 5 hike, starting right from Cooks Mill, will definitely be rewarding.
We'll tackle these trials based on our group's interests and energy levels. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just looking to enjoy some time outdoors, there will be trails that suit all levels of experience.

Bring any necessary hiking gear, including food, water, and, of course, your favourite campfire snacks!
